SPRING FLING: Friday April 7th 5-8 PM
Can’t believe our Spring Fling is just around the corner !! Shady Grove’s traditional annual carnival and silent auction is happening on April 7th from 5 pm to 8 pm !! Let’s all add it to our calendars ! Let’s come together for a night of family fun including several Bouncy Houses, a Petting Zoo, Creepy Critters, fun games, food trucks, Fire Truck, corporate booths, and a Silent Auction ! Don't forget to invite neighbors, friends and families !
Purchase your Spring Fling Wristbands now. Order must be placed by April 1st.
This event would not be possible without the help of parent and teacher volunteers. Volunteer opportunities will be available from 5 – 6:30 PM and 6:30 – 8 PM.

Student Directory is Now Active!
This year the directory is only available online. Click on the "Directory" link to view the content. You can search by teacher, grade and free text. You can even print the full roster for your class. If you need to change any of your information or remove yourself from the directory, select "update profile" and change the directory settings.

Join the Spring Fling Committee. Responsibilities includes meeting a few times for planning and organizing and to be present on the Spring Fling day as main coordinators in different areas.

PTA Needs You!
PTA is currently looking for interested parents to take on roles for the 2017-2018 school year. Please contact Susan Black, PTA President, if interested.
The Results Are In!
Thank you all for taking the time at the beginning of the school year to complete the PTA fundraising survey. After the results were tallied, the PTA Board, with the help of administration and teachers, researched estimated cost associated with each survey item.
The top 3 capital investment items chosen by Shady Grove Families and Teachers along with estimated costs are:
- Shade Structure -- ~$60,000 (~$20,000 for smaller playground structure and ~$40,000 for the larger playground structure)
- Library Renovations -- ~$20,000
- Outdoor Science/Learning Center -- ~$12,000
As our fundraising efforts for capital investments and classroom enrichment continue throughout the school year, the PTA Board will determine which of these efforts (either partially or in totality) will be funded at the end of the school year.
